First Annual LA Classic Car Show

February 17, 2017 in Event Report

The first annual LA Classic Car Show was held the weekend of January 27-29 at the LA Convention Center and the Club had an impressive display. Our booth was located just inside the main entry doors and in most cases ours were the first cars that the attendees saw. We had a full booth all weekend.

The Club was well represented with the following cars on display:

XK120: Creighton Turner

XK140: Winston Dabbs

XK150: Jim MacLaughlin

XKE: John Mutlow

C-Type: Don and Ann Becker

Throughout the weekend we had numerous visitors from the Club in our Hospitality Tent, as well as members from San Diego and the Inland Empire. Everyone enjoyed a chance to get off their feet for a bit, as the Show was enormous, covering the entire South Hall with over 600 vehicles of all types.

On Sunday, a group of about twenty five members took the short stroll to the historic El Cholo Mexican Restaurant for a copious lunch. Alas, we took home no hardware, but Jaguar was well represented and much appreciated by the thousands in attendance.
